This 16’ all aluminum walk-in rescue was built on a Sterling Acterra chassis equipped with air ride suspension. This apparatus was custom built to meet the customers specifications. At the left side exterior there is two (2) compartments, one (1) ahead of and one (1) behind the rear wheels. The front compartment is supplied with one (1) roll out tray and one (1) adjustable shelf. The rear is supplied with a Hannay cord reel with a junction box, three (3) adjustable shelves and access from the inside of the body. The right side of the exterior there is four (4) compartments provided; two (2) lower, one (1) upper ahead of the rear wheels and one (1) behind the rear wheels. The compartment directly ahead of the wheels is where the customers Kohler 7 kw diesel generator is located and plumbed to the chassis fuel system. The front lower compartment has a Hannay cord reel with junction box mounted to the ceiling with storage space below. The upper compartment houses the customer’s 16 bottle spare SCBA bottle rack with access from outside and inside. The compartment behind the rear wheels is provided with (1) permanent divider and (3) adjustable shelves. The interior is supplied with (4) SCBA seat backs with a fold-up bench seat with storage underneath at the left side in the middle between the customers 4-bottle cascade fill station located at the left front corner and the rear compartment. There is an aluminum diamond plate shelf above the seating area and the cascade station. At the right side there is (12) turnout gear lockers centered between the rear compartment and the SCBA bottle rack at the front. There are also interior compartments above both rear compartments and the SCBA bottle rack. At the exterior of the apparatus there are (4) (one each side) receiver hitch positions with power for a 8,000 lb Ramsey portable winch, which was supplied with the apparatus. A customer supplied Federal Street Hawk light bar was used along with (14) Code 3 halogen flashers to provide warning lighting. Scene lighting consists of two (2) Kwik raise recess mount 120 volt scene lights, (1) each side, with one (1) telescoping light at the left front and two (2) tri-pod lights at the rear.
