This rescue is built on a Chevrolet C5500 crew cab chassis with a Duramax diesel engine and Allison automatic transmission. At the front of the chassis is a heavy-duty combination bumper/grille guard installed incorporating a Ramsey 12,000lb winch. There are also three (3)winch receivers with power points, one (1) each side and one (1) rear, for use with the Ramsey 8,000lb portable winch. The body is all aluminum 14’ Walk Around rescue equipped with transverse compartments ahead of and over the rear wheels. All compartments are equipped with locking Amdor roll up doors with a satin finish. There is three (3) individual compartments behind the rear wheels; one (1) each side and one (1) at the rear center. The front transverse compartment is equipped with a 1000lb dual direction slide out tray and an adjustable height full width shelf. The transverse compartment over the rear wheels is equipped with four (4) 600lb slide out trays, two (2) each side (one over the other) with the upper shelf adjustable in height. The rear side compartments are each equipped with three (3) adjustable height slide-out trays. The rear step compartment is equipped with a floor mounted slide out tray, tool board, adjustable shelf for mounting a Hurst electric powered Simo Power Unit and two (2) Hannay hydraulic hose reels at the compartment ceiling. The apparatus is equipped with an Onan 25kw PTO generator which supplied power to a Hannay cable reel with an Akron junction box, a Command Light model CL-615 light tower and numerous 120-volt/240-volt receptacles on the apparatus body. The warning lighting consists of all Whelen Super LED lighting including a Traffic Advisor at the upper rear.
