This heavy duty brush unit was built on a Chevrolet C5500 Crew cab chassis with a Duramax diesel engine and Allison automatic transmission. Inside the cab at the rear crew cab a SCBA seat conversion kit was installed with (2) SCBA seats and (1) standard seat. The body is an all aluminum "flat rack" style body with lower compartments ahead of the rear wheels. At the front of the body is an aluminum headache rack installed to protect the cab and for mounting lights. The water tank is a UPF 770 gallon Poly Wet-side tank. At the rear of the tank is a single Newton 10" dump valve with extension chute and at the left front is a 2-1/2" direct tank fill. The pump is a C.E.T. 18hp MR skid pump mounted at the right rear of the apparatus. The pump is equipped with (1) 2-1/2" suction in let, (1) 2-1/2" discharge, (2) 1 -1/2" pre-connect discharges and (1) front bumper turret. The front bumper turret discharge is an Akron Fire Fox remote controlled monitor with a joystick control in the cab. The apparatus is also equipped with a portable tank sleeve at the top of the water tank, suction hose compartment at the left side and a pre-connect hose bed at the right side of the body. The apparatus is equipped with all Whelen LED warning and taillight clusters.
