This rescue was built on a Chevrolet C5500 single cab chassis powered by a Vortec V8 gasoline engine and an Allison automatic transmission. The apparatus body is an all aluminum structure equipped with Gortite aluminum rollup doors. The front compartment is a transverse compt equipped with a Slidemaster 1000lb dual direction slide out tray and (1) transverse adjustable shelf. The left side over the wheel compt is equipped with (7) SCBA brackets with a ½ depth shelf for SCBA face pieces. The left rear is equipped with (2) adjustable height shelves. The right side over the wheel compt is equipped with (1) adjustable shelf and the right rear is equipped with (1) floor mounted slide out tray, (1) adjustable shelf and (2) Hannay hydraulic hose reels (equipped with 100' of twin line each) at the upper portion. The rear step compt is approximately 87" deep and equipped with a Slidemaster 1000lb tray with (1) 50" adjustable height shelf at the forward portion of the tray. The top of the apparatus body is equipped with (3) coffin compts with flip up doors and a center walkway (walkway sized to fit 4' X 8' sheets of plywood). The apparatus is equipped with all Whelen LED lighting including Traffic Advisor. The 12-volt scene lighting consists of Whelen fixed lights at each side and rear and at the front of the body there are (2) Fire Research 12-volt HID Optimum telescoping lights. The apparatus is also equipped with a removable Ramsey 8000lb winch with receiver points both front and rear. Realwheels stainless steel wheel simulators finish this great looking highly functional rescue for the Stratford, IA Fire Department.
