This tanker for the Town of Grant Volunteer Fire Department, Caroline WI is built on a Sterling LT8500 chassis with a Cummins 360hp diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission. This all aluminum body tanker is equipped with a UPF 3000-gallon water tank and three (3) Newton manual operated dump valves at the rear and rear sides. Also at the rear panel is two (2) 3” Akron fill valves terminated with 2 ½” NST female swivel adapters. There is folding tank storage provided inside the body at the left side with a rear door sized to fit a 3000-gallon folding tank. At the right side of the body there is a storage compartment for two (2) lengths of 4” x 10’ hard suction hose with one (1) preconnected to a Kochek floating strainer with ladder and pike pole storage also included in this compartment. The truck is equipped with a Hale AP 500GPM PTO pump with control panel at the left side compartment. There is two (2) 2 ½” discharges at the left side compartment with the 4” steamer inlet and one (1) 1 ½” discharge to the right side front compartment. There is also a 4” suction inlet plumbed to the rear of the apparatus equipped with a manual butterfly valve and auxiliary primer. The compartments are equipped with Gortite aluminum rollup doors with a natural satin finish. Also included with the apparatus is a Federal Signal rear vision camera, Hale HPX400 portable pump, suction hose, ladders, pike poles, nozzles and an assortment of adapters.
